This inspiring rendition is sung by 2 quartets, 8 guys on stage in perfect harmony, the Crimson River Quartet and the Cross Road Quartet. Our display is energy saving 100% LEDs, with 144 channels from 9 Light-O-Rama computerized lighting controllers from Light-O-Rama. I act as orchestrater, tell the lights when to turn on or off, fade, twinkle, etc. An MP3 player inside the controller plays the music and controls the lights according to your programmed orchestration. We transmit it to people’s cars radio via a low power transmitter on unused 100.9 FM. The Randy Pausch Memorial Bridge features more than 7,000 programmable (and environmentally friendly) LED lights. The light show was created by Christopher Popowich and Cindy Limauro, professor of lighting design in the School of Drama. The sequences are designed to represent six different visual metaphors from Randys book:
Fun with Crayons
• Outer Space
• Make the Most of Each Day
• Be the First Penguin
• The Elevator in Randys Room
• Disney and the Circus
The lighting runs for 15 minutes before repeating on a continuous loop In this video, the show is 500% the normal speed.
