These are super-small LED lights that use the “Linear Mounting Technology”- Tiny surface mount LED’s are installed on a wire of 30 gauge enamel magnet wire, then covered with a small blob of hot melt glue. These were found in spools of ribbon, sold last year at walmart, but gone this year due to their ridiculously high price. I got a bunch at close out for $3 a roll at WM’s after Xmas 75% blowout. I added resistors to each individual string to control the too-high brightness of the greens and blues. This whole set draws only 40ma at a 6 volt input.

A short tour of our magnificent Christmas light display both outside and inside our house.
A quick video follow-up to my previous video about the Solar Powered Led Lights. This time I took the charger apart and take a look at the batteries and the insides.
This is a video of some RGB christmas lights (GE Color Effects) which I reverse engineered to show my own patterns. These christmas lights don’t do what you are seeing out of the box. Full documentation on how I did this can be found on my blog post on the subject, here:
