Using an Arduino Uno to control my 8 strings of Christmas lights. I wrote the code from scratch myself. I used 8 solid state relays to switch the AC power to the strings. They are not LED Christmas lights, they’re normal incandescent mini bulbs. I used a 74hc595 shift register to run the 7 segment LED display which shows the current mode, but the light relays are run directly off the mainboard without a shift register.
